Chris Cornell fan wants the black hole named in his honor.

A petition has started to have the first black hole captured by a camera — named after the late Soundgarden and Audisslave frontman.

Giuliana Jarrin writes on the Change.org petition that having the supermassive black hole named in Chris’ honor “would be a surreal and amazing way to honor his life and his contribution to music.”   And as of the publishing of this article, the 35,000 signatures had been reached to make it happen.

Earlier this week, the Event Horizon Telescope captured the first ever image of such a phenomenonthanks in big to part to the contributions of a 29 year old grad student.  — [eric]
