Marshmello is being sued over the song ‘Happier’

TMZ reported how Marshmello is being sued for his mega-hit “Happier”.

Artem Stoliarov, aka Arty, is claiming Marshmello’s tack “Happier” is almost identical to his remix of One Republic’s “I Lived.”

Arty is specifically targeting the songwriters — Marshmello, Bastille frontman Dan Smith and producer Steve Mac — for allegedly borrowing the “original composition elements” of the revamped track “note for note,” including a repeating synthesizer pattern.

Marshmello came out with “Happier” in 2018, it’s become double-platinum and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart and Billboard Hot 100.

Arty released his remix in 2014, where it became a hit and even peaked to the No. 2 spot in the Billboard Hot 100.
