Fresh off a big show at Lollapalooza, Death Cab for Cutie have dropped another new song from their upcoming EP, titled simply ‘The Blues EP’. The track ‘To The Ground’ has a steady building pace with a lead into straight up alternative guitar rock according to Consequence of Sound.
And these lyrics paint quite a dramatic and captivating picture, don’t they?
“He lost control, slid and began to roll/ And on the wings of an ocean gale, he crashed right through the rail/ Down to the valley below,” front man Ben Gibbardsings, recounting an apparent car accident and the circle of life. “All comes around and returns to the ground.”
