This isn’t what they meant by ride “sharing”

A man is in custody after crashing into a ride-share vehicle in Goose Island, then stealing it, only to crash it again in Greektown later that evening.


Around 4:40 am on Sunday, the man got into an argument that led to him crashing his silver Jeep Patriot into a Lincoln MKZ instead of the man he was trying to hit. He then escalated things by threatening the life of the Lincoln driver, then stole the car that he had just hit.

From there, he hopped on the Kennedy Expressway before hitting two more cars. He was taken to the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago with minor injuries.

Perhaps, when he heard ride “share”, he thought it was acceptable to hop into the Lincoln that wasn’t his. After all, the driver is going to get it back, just with damages and miles on it that he’s not responsible for. Oh well!
