Lane Tech grad/’Re-Animator’ director dies

Chicago-born filmmaker Stuart Gordon died yesterday at the age of 72.

Gordon was probably best known for his directorial debut, “Re-Animator,” a horror cult classic. He also co-created the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” franchise.  Locally, he launched the Organic Theater Company, which became known for groundbreaking performances like Mamet’s “Sexual Perversity in Chicago.”
