SNL working on plan to get back in the studio

AV Club and Variety are reporting that TV comedy franchise ‘Saturday Night Live’ could return to the famed Studio 8H in New York for the upcoming season. SNL went dark due to COVID-19 earlier this year. In April and May, the cast produced three well-received pre-filmed episodes with the sketches being performed from their homes. So what happens with the upcoming season?

Producer Lorne Michaels and NBC are working on a plan to bring the show closer to the usual look and feel, but how that happens is not known at this time. SNL tends to move the pop culture meter the most during an election year so hopefully, they are making comedy gold this fall.

‘The Tonight Show’ returned to a studio recently with social distancing, a masked camera crew, and the Roots providing the soundtrack. Here is a look at how Jimmy Fallon and his team made the adjustment.
