On this day: DMB tour bus dumped on tourists on Chicago River

It was a day that will live in infamy.

On this day in 2004, the Dave Matthews Band tour bus stopped on the bridge above the Chicago River at Kinzie Street with an architecture tour boat unfortunately underneath that bridge as the bus expelled its bathroom waste. Around 100 sightseers got to see, smell, and experience more of DMB than they ever needed to deal with. This ‘documentary’ from Consequence of Sound sees some of the people on that boat retell the crappy horror. Note it has a lot of graphic descriptions.

Riotfest.org reported that the bus driver involved had to pay a $10,000 fine, do 150 hours of community service and serve 18 months of probation.
