Past Spider-Men reportedly returning for ‘Spider-Man 3’ movie

The upcoming Spider-Man film will be a blast for the cinematic past for everyone’s favorite web-slinger with several actors who have been involved in the different incarnations of the superhero film series reappearing in central roles. ComingSoon.net reported today that Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Tobey Maguire are all in varying levels of coming back for the next film.

Garfield who played the hero in the ‘Amazing’ films is locked in according to Collider. Maguire who portrayed Spidey in the original film trilogy is not set just yet but is reportedly in talks to reprise the role. His love interest in the original trilogy of films, Kirsten Dunst will be back with the new film as Mary Jane Watson. Molina who gave fiendish life to the villain Doctor Octopus will come back with Jamie Foxx as Electro.

So how is all of this working out on screen? Well, it’s basically a live-action version of what Sony did with the animated feature ‘Into the Spider-Verse’ bending the different generations together with the current Spider-Man played by Tom Holland working with Marvel Cinematic Universe magical maverick Dr. Strange opening up multiple worlds.
