Urban Grill at 1132 West Wilson by the Red Line, opened their doors and gave away 70,000 meals for free — 50,000 of them to children experiencing food insecurity — when the pandemic began. Because they haven’t been in business long enough to qualify for pandemic assistance themselves, they need community support. This is the exact reason why Support Chicago exists.
