Whether we want to admit it or not, some stereotypes are true for a reason. Movoto.com just put together a list of painfully accurate Illinois stereotypes with things like “Illinoisans are either Cubs fans or Cardinals fans…sorry Sox fans” and “Chicagoans Love Their City So Much They Seem Like Snobs”. #8 on the list is what spoke to us the most, though. The Illinois accent is “hard to define and impossible to miss”. That sums it up perfectly.
