Twice a year an astronomical event called Chicagohenge sends startling views of the sunrise and sunset between downtown Chicago buildings. Terrible for driving, but awesome for Instagram ops. The best time to view Chicagohenge is around sunset or sunrise between Sept. 22 and 25. How did this happen? Was it really good city planning? OR WAS IT ALIENS! (it was not aliens)
Henge Classic. Tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox. The highlight day of Chicagohenge. The temps over the next couple of days will feel like the new season. #weather #sunset #chicago pic.twitter.com/AxoiceF9qB

It’s #Chicagohenge season! Between now and the fall equinox (on 9/22), you may notice the sun traversing, then ultimately setting between Chicago’s concrete canyons. Read more about the photogenic phenomenon here >> https://t.co/p1GIly1eyD pic.twitter.com/7FhHQk9lAS
